As the world’s
longest reigning living monarch, Her Majesty’s reign is one full of remarkable
milestones, the latest of which will be her 95th birthday.
We are issuing a new 50 pence in Gibraltar. In a tradition that dates back to 1748 which was started by King George II, the Queen has two birthdays each year.
The first is her actual birthday on 21st April and the second is the official birthday which always takes place on the second Saturday in June.
